Sure, you can pretty easily figure out that it helps you when it comes to selling on Amazon, but how does it do that? Is it a tool? It is a program? Is it a course? Is it a guide? The answer is that the Amazing Selling Machine is all of this and more.

Before getting too far into the individual components, let me start off this ASM review properly by explaining a bit about the product as a whole.

The Amazing Selling Machine was first produced way back in 2013. It was the brainchild of two veteran Amazon drop shippers, Matt Clark, and Jason Katzenback.

Like with many of these sorts of tools, the Amazing Selling Machine was created by people who went through the difficult, obtuse process of starting an Amazon business and thought “there has to be an easier way.” This is what prompted the development of the Amazing Selling Machine.

Since its release in 2012, users of the Amazing Selling Machine have made a combined total of $8.6 billion dollars in revenue. Since its launch, the program has seen various iterations and it is now on its 12th version.

It isn’t exactly an obscure program. Not only have the creators worked with successful business people like Richard Branson and Richard Kiyosaki, but they have also been profiled in a wide variety of reputable news outlets.

The Amazing Selling Machine is comprised of 4 separate components that each work together to make it as simple and easy as possible for those looking at starting an Amazon business.

The first component is the 8-week web course, which is further divided into a series of 10 modules, each with a lot of unique, diverse video content. This is sure to be helpful for any beginners out there who are stumped when it comes to making their Amazon business successful.

The second component of the Amazing Selling Machine course is the “mentor program.” As you might have guessed based on the name alone, this part of the course involves getting you in touch with someone who has already succeeded at making money online and who is familiar with both selling on Amazon and how to best use the Amazing Selling Machine. The third part of the course is access to the Amazing Selling Machine community. The community is filled with a variety of people, some of whom have already made their fortune selling on Amazon and others who, like you, are just starting out and are interested in finding out how to start an Amazon business properly.

Finally, there is the resource vault. As the name indicates, this is an extremely valuable treasure trove and as I will go into later in my Amazing Selling Machine review, this ends up being one of the best parts of the whole package. It is a treasure vault of various resources, guides, programs, and other things that can make the process of learning how to sell on Amazon so much simpler.

However, I feel that in order to do a review of Amazing Selling Machine properly, I can’t just talk about the whole package. Therefore, I’m going to do a sort of in-depth review of each the components of the package. So, it is like 4 smaller reviews in one.

Component 1: The 8-Week Course

If you buy the package, the first thing that you are likely to take advantage of are the videos that make up the 8-week course. So, I think that this is the best place to start.

Now, if you have ever used one of these courses or guides before, then you probably know two things. First off, a lot of them use video instructions or webinars. It’s easy to see why, since they make it a lot easier to know exactly what you are doing and to follow along. Secondly, you also know that the videos are often delivered in terrible, inconvenient formats. Far too many seem to think that it’s a good idea to include all the important instructions in a bunch of 2-hour videos that you have to sift through to find the important bits.

So, I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw that the creators of the Amazing Selling Machine class guide made sure to divide all their instructions into convenient, bite-sized pieces. For example, instead of there just being a bunch of long videos, they have divided the videos into 10 different modules (1 introductory module, 8 core modules, and a supplementary module).

As you can see, the modules are all clearly labeled. It is easy at a glance to see the topic, how many videos there are dedicated to each topic, and how long each lesson is. As I will end up talking about a few times during the course of my ASM review, this convenience is a big part of why the Amazing Selling Machine course is such a breath of fresh air.

The convenience doesn’t stop there either. Rather than using long, unwieldy videos to deliver important information, the makers of the course have wisely decided to make, short digestible videos.

As you can see, the average video length ends up only being around 5 minutes (give or take a few minutes). So, you can quickly watch a video, get the relevant information, and move on. I really liked that if I felt like I needed to watch a certain part again, I didn’t have to go searching through a giant video looking for the 5-minute clip that I need. I also liked that if I got lost while watching a video, I could just star the video over again because it was so short. You can’t do that when the instructional videos are hours in length.

A really small feature, but one that I imagine many of you trying to learn how to sell on Amazon will make a lot of use of is the bookmark feature. For certain complicated parts of the selling process (and there are quite a few of those, trust me), there are probably certain parts of videos that you are going to want to watch multiple times because they contain useful information that you need to keep going back to. If you find a part of a video that you think you are going to want to come back to, simply use the bookmark feature.

The videos themselves are very well-made and easy to follow. Don’t get me wrong, they aren’t anything revolutionary, but they are just high-quality videos. Instead of having someone lecture to you directly, the video features both narration and slideshows.

As you can see from this screenshot, the slide summarizes the major points of whatever it is that the instructor is talking about. For me, I like how simple this makes it to follow along. There is never a risk of getting lost.

The modules are all thoughtfully laid out so that if you are completely new and have no idea of how to start an Amazon business, you can start with the first module and follow each lesson. By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and tools necessary to start making some serious money with Amazon sales.

What module you end up finding the most useful will likely depend on what you struggle with the most. The modules manage to cover pretty much every topic in pretty good detail. Want to know where to find good products? They have that covered.

Want to learn how to properly source and ship products under your own brand name? Well, the Amazing Selling Machine course has a great module on just how to manage that tricky process.

Personally, the module that I think will end up being the real highlight of the class section of the package because of how useful it is, is module 5.

This module deals with how to create the perfect product page and how to use on-page SEO techniques to optimize it for search engines.

This can do wonders for your ability to set yourself apart from other competitors on the site.

There is one other aspect of the classes that I should talk about, which is the “coaching calls.” Basically, at the end of each class, there is a long, roughly 2-hour video where the instructor for that module fields questions from users like you relating to the topic discussed in the module.

Now, even if you are a latecomer to the Amazing Selling Machine course don’t worry, you can still make use of this feature. First off, they regularly host new coaching calls, so you will eventually get a chance to ask your question. Secondly, they archive all the old coaching calls, so you can do what I did and watch old ones to see what was covered. There is a good chance someone had the same question that you did.

There isn’t really much more I can say about the class component in this Amazing Selling Machine Review. Overall, they are helpful and provide a great way for newcomers to get familiar with every aspect of running a successful dropshipping business on Amazon.

Component 2: The Mentor Program

For the next part of my Amazing Selling Machine Review, I want to talk about the mentor program. Both the mentor program and the community access (which I will talk about later on) are major selling features for this course, and it is easy to see why. Veteran Amazon drop shippers have written before about the difficulties of getting into selling on Amazon. One of the biggest difficulties is a lack of feedback. Everyone is out for themselves, so it can be difficult to find someone willing to sit you down and say “this is what you do well and this is what you need to improve on.”

The mentor program is fairly straight forward. The creators of the course have gathered together a group of people who, by any metric, have achieved success on Amazon. More specifically, as the course advertises, each of the mentors has made at least $1 million, if not more, in sales through Amazon.

So, they have a good idea of what works and doesn’t work. They also happen to be more than willing to not only share that info with you but also to provide personalized feedback for your specific issues. When you sign up for the course, you not only get access to an individual mentor, but you also get access to mentor webinars where you can ask questions and you can also interact with any mentors on the community forums (an in-depth look at those will be coming up later in this review of Amazing Selling Machine).

If you aren’t having any luck on the forums, you can also go over to the community Facebook page that you get access to when you sign up for the course. It isn’t as good as the forums, but it offers an alternative method of getting some advice and community feedback which I appreciate.

I find it difficult to overstate just how important the mentorship program is to this course. It doesn’t matter whether you are a brand-new seller trying to figure out how to start an Amazon business or a veteran seller with some experience, you can still benefit from the mentorship program.

It does have some flaws, however. Even though they are continually adding new mentors, there still isn’t a lot of them. When you consider how many people have bought the Amazing Selling Machine and use it daily, you start to see the problem. Sadly, there is likely going to be a wait for mentor advice. It will come eventually, but don’t expect your problems to take precedence over others’ issues.

Still, despite the potentially long waits, I really think that the mentorship program is a really great tool and if you do end up buying this course (hopefully because you found my ASM review helpful), you need to make sure to take full advantage of it. It is one of the better selling points of the entire course in my opinion.

Component 3: The Community

The third component of the course is a bit different from the other two that you have seen so far in my Amazing Selling Machine review. See, with the other two components, what you got was a bit more tangible. The first component was the instruction videos and the second component was the mentorship program. When compared to those two, just saying that you get access to a “community” can sound a bit floaty and undefined.

However, as I found out, the community aspect of the Amazing Selling Machine is actually very useful. It will probably end up being one of the parts of the course that you end up using the most.
But, before I get too far into that, let me explain what the community is and what you get access to when you buy the course.

To access the community, you just need to go to your main dashboard and scroll over to the far-right part of the page. Once you click on the community button, you will be taken to the community.

As you can see, the community aspect of the course refers to the exclusive Amazing Selling Machine forums. On these forums, various people, ranging from beginners like yourself to veteran sellers congregate to ask questions, swap tips, and hear success stories. The mentors that I talked about also show up in the forums a lot to answer questions, so you can often get your own questions answered by a true expert.

Now, if you aren’t a big user of forums you might be a bit underwhelmed by this part of the course. After all, how does a forum help you to start an Amazon business? You may also be curious why you should bother using these forums at all. There are plenty of other places out there to discuss these sorts of topics, so why bother with this one?

I thought the same at first, but there are a few features that really make the community forums on the Amazing Selling Machine website stand out. First off, there is the badge system.

As you might glean from the name, badges are literal rewards that you get on the site for reaching certain milestones. Basically, everything that you can think of has a badge associated with it.
There are badges for watching every video in a course module.

There are badges for mundane actions like finding suppliers and getting into contact with them.

And of course, there are badges for various selling milestones and revenue milestones, like making $10,000 a month, $20,000 a month, etc.

What exactly is the benefit of this badge system? Well, the badges that you earn aren’t too useful for much (although they do make your profile look a bit better), but the badges that others earn can help you to determine whether that user knows what they are talking about or not.

If you are like me, then one of the reasons that you dislike forums is because of how difficult it is to determine whether the people answering your question are actually qualified to answer the question or not. The badges let you know at a glance what the experience and success level of the person answering your question is.

As you can see, the number of badges under this user’s name is quite significant. Within seconds, you can see that they have completed several courses and have hit several revenue milestones, so you know that they have a clue about how to sell on Amazon.

Another reason I personally like the Amazing Selling Machine community is because of how easy the forums are to use and navigate. Several other forums online are confused to use because of the sheer number of sub-forums that exist. It can be hard to know where to find what you are looking for and where to post a question if you have one. Just take a peek at something like Warrior Forums to see what I’m talking about.

Sorting threads or creating a new one on the community forums is very easy. If you want to ask a question, just click on the button on the right. If you want to sort through different threads to find if your question has already been answered elsewhere, just use one of the buttons on the left. There are no messy subforums to deal with or anything like that.

So, even if you were a skeptic like I was, hopefully, this section of my Amazing Selling Machine review has convinced you of the usefulness of these community forums. They aren’t just some tacked-on extra, they are an actual, useful part of the overall package.

Component 4: The Private Resource Vault

For the fourth and final component, we have the private resource vault.

As the screenshot shows, the private resource vault is a curated collection of various different programs, tools, premade assets, and images that are all very helpful when it comes to starting an Amazon business. But, don’t get me wrong. This isn’t just something geared towards new people either, even a veteran Amazon seller such as myself still gets a lot of use out of the resource vault.

Using the resource vault is simple. Just scroll down to whatever topic you want to look at and click on it.

When you click on a topic, you will be greeted with a list of links to various websites, programs, etc., that can be very helpful.

Probably what ends up impressing me the most is just how many topics they manage to cover as part of their private resource vault. On the one hand, you can find plenty of resources to help with the very basic aspects of how to sell on Amazon. For example, you can find resources for basic things like keyword research.

On the other hand, you can also find resources for more complex topics like landing page creation, which can be really difficult for both newcomers and veterans alike.

There is also a separate tab for resources specifically needed for the video modules, which helps to keep everything organized.

Alongside the community forums that I talked about a bit earlier in my Amazing Selling Machine review, the resource vault is probably going to end up being the thing that keeps you coming back to the course and that makes the course worthwhile. Don’t get me wrong, the video modules offered as part of Amazing Selling Machine course are extremely useful, but once you have a handle on things, you aren’t going to be returning back to them. The private resource vault, on the other hand, is something that you are going to want to come back to over and over again.
